Hello, I am trying to purchase a hifive board through my university grant account. However, it is not allowing me to choose or make a tax exempt purchase. How do i go about doing this? I need this board urgently to avoid delays in the time line of my project. Please help!!!
SiFive doesn’t sell directly to consumers, and has no control over 3rd party sites that do. You didn’t mention who you are trying to purchase from. I’d guess CrowdSupply. I don’t see anything obvious there about sales taxes, but checking Mouser, they do have a page about sales taxes.

which mentions filling out a form for tax exempt purchases. So maybe try buying from Mouser instead? I tried that, and when I get to the payment page I do see a button I can click for a tax free purchase, with a proper exemption form of course.
