Is there any capability in Hifive1 for this?
The FE310 chip on the HiFive1 doesn’t have a hardware counter/timer. The GPIO pins can be configured to interrupt on either or both edges, but will be sampled at the bus clock rate. For a dedicated counter/timer, we’d be interested in the desired feature list for such a peripheral or even a pull request with the RTL.
