i am working on Fu540 board, i want to restart the system when kernel get crashed, how can we do that. is there any separate mechanism is required ?
when i do soft reboot the kernel get crashed, is reboot is supported for fu540 board ?

If you have a new enough kernel, then the reboot command in a shell should work. It does work in the SiFive freedom-u-sdk system that I have on my board now. I don’t remember exactly when reboot started working. I think it was somwhere in the 5.8 to 5.10 range.
If you don’t have a working shell, then you need to push the power button, or maybe use a remote control power outlet to switch the power off and on again.
