The Haiku guys have instructions for this. You will need to use the micro USB serial terminal and follow these instructions:
Looks like those instructions assume that you have an sdcard image (or flash image) to start the boot which it doesn’t mention, otherwise it looks right, and in theory should work for any OS image not just Haiku.
