I imported the default 3 projects for the HiFivee (demo_gpio, hello, led_fade). It complains about not finding the riscv-*-gcc command and a bunch of paths. Does it matter where I leave the SDK? I unzipped it on my desktop in a folder. Any clues to why this is happening out of the box?
You do need to tell Freedom Studio where to find the tools that you downloaded. There are instructions for this in in the Freedom Studio Manual (https://www.sifive.com/documentation/tools/freedom-studio-manual/). Check out “Environment Setup” on Page 4.
