I installed an Ubuntu server image (22.04.4 server install image) on the SD card shipped with the board, switched the booting mode SEL to “1011”. However, the OS can not boot, and the LED D2 keeps off.
Is the hardware broken?
There is no support for the LED’s in the Ubuntu server image.
Also, the board comes with the switches set to 1011 already. See Figure 4 on page 14 of the getting started guide.
