PCIE really slow speed

Hi,
I am currently using the last release of Ubuntu(24.04) and the Linux kernel (6.6.77-1). We are experimenting with some PCIe accelerators but with them we get the same really slow speeds, of approximately 0.5GB/s even when checking with lspci it shows that the Link Status is GEN3 x4. This agrees with the measurement of ther people and I would like to know if there is anything to do about it or it just and error of the software-Hardware.

Thanks

Hello useless AI slop response.

Yup, unfortunately that one slipped through.

Hello another useless AI slop response.

may I know why the post has been flagged? There’s no response therefor to the original question ^^?

There’s been a couple bot replies that have been flagged and removed. Are you sure your original post itself was flagged? Maybe someone thought that was the correct thing to do in response to the bot posts (and they’d be wrong).

It seems like the original post is actually fine hahaha. I will just wait for a response

Hi,

On last release of Ubuntu(24.04) and the Linux kernel (6.6.77-1), we performed PCIe throughput test by running fio sequential read on NVMe.
We see read speed is ~800MB/s for single fio thread and ~900MB/s for 4 thread.

After applying patch for optimizing cache flushes(link below), we see significant improvement.

Throughput is for Single thread ~1400MB/s and for Four thread ~1800MB/s.

Could you please try with this patch applied and let us know if you have any further queries.

Regards,
Pinkesh
