Faster FPGA self baked possible?

Hi I am just curious and still working this out but I would like to know if anybody has rolled a multi core version on a larger faster FPGA? I’ve got an application that I would love to try out on the RISC-V ( In chip optimisation CSG cad engine ) but the Artix-7 Arty Evaluation Kit just seems to small and slow for my testing. Is it possible to self bake the RISC-V in to a larger faster FPGA?
