Can I use Jlink to debug Freedom E300 Arty?

In the document, you use Olimex ARM-USB-TINY-H Debugger for debugging. But at present I only have a Jlink V9, and I use it to debug some STM32 MCUs . I’m wondering whether I can use Jlink to debug Freedom E300 Arty. A new Olimex ARM-USB-TINY-H Debugger is expensive for me. So it would be very nice if you could tell me some information on how to use JLINK for debugging.

Thanks.

Hello,
I’m exactly in the same state as you but with jlink edu in hand.
I’m just compiling the information which I know as of today.

Can we use jlink to debug Arty 7 freedom image ?
Yes. We can use jlink in place of olimex debugger to debug the fe310 in Arty 7 board.
But the specific hardware version of jlink in use should support the risc-v architecture.
Information regarding how to use jlink in place of olimex & also which jlink hw versions support risc-v is available in the link below.

Hope it helps. Once you have further clarity please share your knowledge in this thread so it will be helpful for others. Thanks.
