Nearly dead after update

the board ran great for 2 days and then an update came and since then all 4 cores are always at 100% and it takes up to 1 minute to start any application or it cancels it.
It is also not possible to set the language.
How can I reinstall the Ubuntu?

When booting via recovery mode, the screen freezes. It then simply stops working.

This thread was for early access customers, but the instructions apply to reinstalling Ubuntu.

Hi,
We have a HiFive Premier P550 board with date code 2450M. It had Ubuntu 24.04. on it and then it installed an update and since then it takes minutes to open the browser or other applications in the desktop.
Which Ubuntu version should we install for desktop.
Should we use ubuntu-24.04.2-live-server-riscv64 or the version ubuntu-24.04.2-preinstalled-server-riscv64+unmatched.

Thx, Yogi

… and follow the instructions for USB stick, right ?

Yes.

Hi,

Thank you for your help. Everything worked fine.
It is a pity that there is no current macOS driver for the FTDI chip. Then the whole ext4 format for the USB stick would have been easier. We also found the bootloader_ddr5_secboot.bin on the git page.

Now everything works again.

During an update, the graphics drivers and other drivers were corrupted. That was the whole problem.

Thx, Yogi
