Research: General area of architectural support for security in computing systems. Security must be a first-class object in the design of systems; it is extremely difficult if not impossible to add security on as an afterthought.

We are working on an open source provable security monitor for RISC-V that supports confidential computing. I am also working on the security of various types of AI hardware, the security of Quantum computing, quantum safe initialization of systems and components.

I have worked on everything from embedded systems to distributed systems and mainframe computers. I have designed and/or developed everything from low level code to high level systems and functions.
