Hi, I’ve been searching for a solution to this for a few hours to no avail, hopefully someone here can help me out.
I’m using Freedom U-sdk xfxe4-unmatched-2021.07.00
The system always logs me in as root by default. I created a user, but when I go to ‘switch user’ in the upper right hand corner of the screen the option is grayed out. All of the forum posts I found googling around reference config files and commands that do not exist on this installation.
I can open another session with Ctrl+alt+F3 etc And log in as my user, but I can’t figure out how to make it display a login prompt or just log in the user by default.
Has anyone figured this out?
P.S. sorry for asking such a noob question, only ever used Debian or Ubuntu and never had to do this before.
Edit: I found this config file which might be useful to solve my problem: etc/default/xserver-nodm after editing it and logging out I was still logged back in as root but now with my user’s home folder rather than root’s home folder.
