# Freedom U 500 VC707 FPGA, Software Development Flow do not work anymore

make file need to be chaged.

linux\_url := ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x

will be changed as

linux\_url := [https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x](https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x)

it really need patch. i can’t use my vc 707 board as linux machine

1. buildroot need to update

version 2016.05 may contain bugs about binutil

i have these bugs

plz patch about those things.

yes, I also faced the same problem with “linux\_url”, after changing it, I can build.
